Iran director Mehrdad Oskouei presides jurors in Poland

Krakow Film Festival in Poland has appointed Iranian director Mehrdad Oskouei as presiding juror.

Born in 1969, Mehrdad Oskouei is a prominent figure in the field of documentary filmmaking, bagging several awards from various international festivals.

Some of recent host festivals showcasing works by Oskouei include 27th Traces De Vies Film Festival, France and 2017 Silk Road International Documentary Film Festival in China.

Iran director Yousef Kargar will also attend the short film competition section of the event with his short film 'The Distance'.

Krakow Film Festival is one of the oldest events in Europe dedicated to documentary, animated and short feature films.

The 58th edition of the festival is slated for May 27- June 3 in Krakow, Poland.
